Advisory Board

The Honorable Scot Faulkner, MPA, American University, BA, Lawrence University, comparative government studies at Georgetown University and London School of Economics. Mr. Faulkner served in Congress, on the White House Staff, and was Global Practice Leader for the American Management Association. His accomplishments earned 26 management awards and four letters of commendation from the President of the United States. He is a bestselling author, columnist, television commentator, and a member of the New England Journal of Medicine’s (NEJM) Healthcare Innovation Advisory Council. He serves on various non-profit boards relating to leadership, innovation, and change. Importantly, Scot leads External and Regulatory Affairs for the PBM Foundation, a leading organization that supports the cause of photobiomodulation treatment as a treatment option for a variety of medical conditions, including chronic pain. Scot's contributions to the company will be varied, given his extensive network within the PBM community. Scot will focus on the strategic positioning of PBM with respect to public policy, engagement with government, healthcare stakeholders, the media, and the public.

Dr. Dean Calcagni, M.D., Founder and President, Medical Red Team, Leader of Multidisciplinary Medical Research Teams. For 18 years, Dr. Calcagni led multidisciplinary medical research teams at the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command. After retiring from Active Duty with the rank of Colonel, Dr. Calcagni applied his experience leading multidisciplinary medical research teams first at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, then in industry, and finally forming his own consulting group, Medical Red Team. As a board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Calcagni maintained a clinical practice part time at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He served as a reviewer for many Federal medical research proposal review panels. Dr. Calcagni has a B.S. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at the Letterman Army Medical Center and a critical care research fellowship at the Stanford University Medical Center. Dean's contributions to the company will focus on assisting the company with its R&D efforts and obtaining available governments funds, positioning the company's products within the medical community, facilitating access to product development opportunities within the Department of Defense, and access to his network within the PBM community.

Dr. Erika Moody, M.D., is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist with sub-specialization in pain medicine based in Houston, TX, and has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2012. She has been affiliated with medical facilities such as Houston Methodist and TIRR Memorial Hermann. Most recently, she has worked as an attending physician for an outpatient pelvic floor/musculoskeletal-based practice, Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, in both Dallas and Houston, TX. Erika will assist the Advisory Board primarily with respect to providing overall medical expertise, expertise in chronic pain, identifying patient and physician needs related to treating chronic pain, and guidance on appropriate therapeutic areas for GlobaLASEReach products.

Dr. James Leiter M.D., is Emeritus Professor of Molecular and Systems Biology and Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. Dr. Leiter is interested in the neurophysiology of respiratory control, central chemosensitivity and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and in the role of astrocytes in all of these topics. Additional interests include the neurobiology of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's Disease and psychiatric disorders. His current professional activities include Founder, Co-owner and President of Peroxyium, Inc., and Founder, Co-owner and Chief Medical Officer, MitoSine Technologies, Inc. He also has served as a strategic consultant for early stage medical device companies as Chief Medical Officer of Maxis Medical. Given his strong background in medical device companies and medical expertise, James will advise the company on its strategic development, R&D efforts, providing grant support given his extensive grant expertise, positioning the company's products within the medical community (including potential photobiomodulation opportunities within neurostimulation), and access to his network within the medical community.
